What is it that initially drew you to jewellery design?
For many years, we have worked as models for a wide range of talented designers and individuals, being part of their creative vision. As more and more people started following us, our style and lives, a desire emerged within us to create something ourselves, something that was 100% us, that we loved ourselves, and that reflected our personal style. LIÉ STUDIO was thus born in November 2021 with the goal of creating modern yet timeless jewelry that can seamlessly become part of one's daily uniform and be worn for any occasion, over and over again. LIÉ started after numerous back-and-forth conversations with our business partner. We wanted to create something that could easily blend into any wardrobe and wanted to offer pieces that can be worn by non-jewelry persons, just like us initially. We love how jewelry adds personality to an outfit, which is also why all our pieces are named after someone dear to us, friends and family. And speaking of names, LIÉ STUDIO, was named because both of our names include ‘lie’, and it means intertwined in French, which was very fitting in the sense that we are twin sisters.
What has been the most exciting or fulfilling aspect of star;ng LIE STUDIO?
In addition to the above, creating something ourselves has definitely been a dream of ours, why seeing our brand and team grow has been so rewarding. We obviously see LIÉ as our baby, so we have been proud and excited with each new challenge and success. To be able to do what we love the most every day, and share our passion and dedication with our customers and other stakeholders, is incredibly fulfilling!
Who do you design for - is there a muse or person you have in mind whilst creating?
LIÉ is very much centered around a style universe inspired by our lives and the world of women. Much of our inspiration when creating new collections is drawn from our personal experiences, the lives of our friends, and the women we surround ourselves with. Additionally, we find inspiration during our travels and from exploring marketplaces, auctions, and observing people on the streets.
What pieces from the collection do you find yourself turning to on repeat?
We love how our pieces add a different touch to every outfit. However, the Caroline Earrings, Andrea Earrings, Camille Earrings, Marianne Bracelet, Elly Necklace and Bracelet are not only some of our absolute bestsellers but also our personal favorites. They are such easy everyday pieces that we keep coming back to. They add that little extra to any outfit, whether it's for work on a daily basis or a dinner in the evening.
What’s next for Lie Studio?
A lot of exciting things are happening at the moment at LIÉ and we are thrilled to reveal what we are working on. Our goal is to further expand LIÉ STUDIO internationally and venture into more exciting and new categories in the future, creating the perfect wardrobe staples.
